I have setup a VPS from a provider that offers roughly 8GB of disk space as a boot partition (where cPanel/WHM is setup) and then the rest of the space as a data partition. I am told the 8GB cannot be increased.

cPanel/WHM seems to run fine although when the upgrade to version 11.40.0 started it was stopped due to insufficient disk space (less than 1.5 GB)

I was looking to free up some space and move folders to the data partition and setting up symbolic links.

What i was wondering is :

    a) Is this possible with cPanel/WHM files? and if it is

    b) Which folders could safely be moved?

If this is possible and folders can be moved how would this affect future updates?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello :)

You will likely need to contact your VPS provider and have them increase the space available to this VPS. This can possibly happen without the need to reinstall the OS due to it being a VPS. It's not a good idea to start linking directories to different partitions (/boot is not intended for this).

    Thank you.
