I am trying to decide between running cpanel on top of the latest freebsd (5.1) or the latest redhat. (9).

I use both at work so am comfortable with both. I'm leaning toward freebsd 5.1 but we had troubel installing cpanel on freebsd before and I think cpanel is developed mainly on a redhat system.

So what are your opinions, which of the two os's would be the best to install cpanel on, pros, cons, opinions please!

    Thanks,

    Dan

I personally believe that cPanel is mainly for Red Hat, as cPanel support on FreeBSD has sometimes been screwy, or some stuff was not compiled/installed properly on an upgrade causing errors.

In my personal opinion, go with Red hat.
