    Hi,

I'm aware I can choose which customers to backup in the backup configuration, but I want to be able to change this automatically via a script.

Does anyone know where the data for this is stored (i.e. which users are ticked in the backup screen?).

I figured this question was appropriate here rather than in the backup section as it will utilise backend script knowledge.

    Thanks,

    Howdy,

    The skip list is here:

    # cat /etc/cpbackup-userskip.conf
    brad

in the list are users you want to skip. Pretty much that easy. One user per line, as many as you like.

    Enjoy!

Kind of the inverse of what I wanted, I want to choose which ones to backup, not which one's not to.

I guess I can use reverse logic, set all in the WHM and then cat a list of all users into that file except the ones I want to backup? Seems roundabout - but would work for my needs!

Yea it is a little screwy if you're not used to it. The hope is that most folks would want to backup more accounts than not. :D

    Thank you Eric

I just used this to kill almost 3000 accounts from backing up...

    root@server [/]# wc -l /etc/cpbackup-userskip.conf
    2979 /etc/cpbackup-userskip.conf

They are all <1MB but it was killing the server. Hopefully tomorrow is better for backups. :D

    Howdy,

Sorry about that, it happens. Chalk it up to a learning experience.
