Hello,

I am working on search engine optimisation on a client's website, developed on Wordpress. The website is hosted on shared webhosting provider using Cpanel.

It is a large website in terms of number of pages. I have been updating each page for SEO and it appears that the webhost's WHM has blocked my IP address.

As it is a shared Cpanel hosting, the client does not have access to WHM. I can login to the Cpanel account using a different IP address using my mobile phone. I looked at the "IP Blocker" on Cpanel, it does not have any IP address blacklisted.

Is there a way that on Cpanel IP addresses can be whitelisted?

The client is a solicitor and a very busy person, he does not have time to call the webhost and be hold on for a long period of time.

Wondering if this problem could be solved directly on Cpanel.

Many thanks for help.

It's possible the provider has a way to allow cPanel users to unblock their IP addresses but there isn't anything native to cPanel that does this. The provider would have to let you know if this is a service the provide.

IP addresses blocked on server level cannot be unblocked from cPanel. You have to contact Web Host to get your ip removed from block list.

Rest assured it is a very quick fix.

Perhaps check if the web host provides support via online chat or a ticketing system as issues get quickly resolved this way.
