ok so i have WHM on my server and i love it but there is one thing that i would like to know if it is possible or not.

when i create a account is there a way, so i don't have to do it manually, that i can have the users database user name be created at the same time. also if possible to specify databases to be created and linked to the user that is created.

i really hope that this is possible. cause i don't really want to do that about 500+ times.

    thanks

You could create /scripts/postwwwacct - this script is triggered upon the creation of a new account.

You can have this shell script interact with our XML API to create a new database user, databases etc. Much of this has recently been discussion in the Developers section of these forums.

is there anyway besides what is stated above to do something like that. I was just talking with my hosting and there telling me that i would have to have a dedicated server inorder to do that.

for example in the skeleton directory can i put some kind of script in there that will execute when i create a new account?

Anything you place in that directory will be moved to the new account. Moved not ran. If you want to run something, the description above is how it's done.

If you're on a reseller account with WHM, you may not have enough access to do what you're wanting to do. Assuming that's what your host meant.
