WHM Billing access

I have recently installd the trial version of WHMCS on my reseller account. The only problem is it won't work with the server. I am able to see created accounts but importing them fails, and when i try to create an account on my server throught WHMCS it fails. This has happened with other hosting programs that i have tried. Do i need to ask my host to change any settings? or have any ideas on the problem?
