After upgrading my Cpanel/WHM VPS I have noticed this new option when creating a new account.
Does it mean that CPanel may work as an backup email server?
    Has anybody tried it?

    Backup Mail Exchanger less »

Configure server as a backup mail exchanger. Mail will be held until a lower number mail exchanger is available.

The option for backup (secondary) mail exchanger may be useful if you use a different ("primary") server to host e-mail accounts, as defined by the MX records in the DNS zone of the domain name.

For reference, it is possible to change or modify the domain-specific mail routing configuration via the following areas in cPanel/WHM:
cPanel: Main >> MX Entry (Documentation: MX Entry)
WHM: Main >> DNS Functions >> Edit DNS Zone (Documentation: Edit DNS Zone)
WHM: Main >> DNS Functions >> Edit MX Entry (Documentation: Edit MX Entry)
Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...
