whm/cpanel - firewall questions

    I have a server with cpanel and then another server with cpaneldnsonly.

    My questions are these.

    1.) Does cpanel / cpaneldns use a firewall by default?
    2.) How does cpanel secure the server?
    3.) If there is no firewall used, I would like to secure via iptables. What ports do I need to keep open?

    1) cPanel itself does not implement a firewall by default.

    2) Some "lowest common denominator" security measures are performed by default such as securing /tmp and such. You can tweak security settings for your server in WHM -> Security -> Security Center.
