    Hi,

    The problems seems to be only with cpanel ssl service. Try accessing WHM with the url http://domain.com:2086
    If you can access WHM using the above url, then check /var/log/messages and try accessing WHM using the url https://domain.com:2087
    You can use the command: tail -f /var/log/messages

    If it outputs error related to port binding, kill the process binding cpanel ssl port. And then restart cpanel. The result should have the following:-
    Starting cPanel ssl services: [OK]

    Once cpanel ssl starts, you can start the service killed before.

    Maybe one day cPanel will actually fix this "bug". The fix is so simple I could teach my grandmother how to do it, and she's really old. I really wish cPanel would correct this bug so everyone could move on with life. It's not new, it's not isolated, and it's not rocket science for them to fix it. If I were you I'd open another bugzilla report, there's only 3 open on it already:

    http://bugzilla.cpanel.net/show_bug.cgi?id=4369 - opened 07/11
    http://bugzilla.cpanel.net/show_bug.cgi?id=4415 - opened 07/27
    http://bugzilla.cpanel.net/show_bug.cgi?id=4443 - opened 08/03

    Today's date: 08/21

    Do this:

    ps aux | grep stunnel
    Does it match "stunnel-4.15local"? If so:

    vi /usr/local/cpanel/etc/init/stopstunnel
    below the last "system" command, add this: system("/scripts/ckillall -9 stunnel-4.15local");

    exit vi, and do this:

    chmod 755 /usr/local/cpanel/etc/init/stopstunnel

    /etc/rc.d/init.d/cpanel stop
    /etc/rc.d/init.d/cpanel start

    Also, here's 3 threads about the issue:

    http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread.php?t=56371
    http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread.php?t=44197
    http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread.php?t=53168

    I'm sure there are more. Search: +cpanel +ssl +services +failed

    It was fixed (and also moot) in EDGE/CURRENT some time ago, so if you're running an older version tree it'll come down when it is updated.

    Yes worked. This should be quicky fixed in Release edition then as a quick 1 step ahead fix. This is a serious bug.

    Agreed that this needs to be fixed. It seems lately that every time my RELEASE version gets updated, a new bug is introduced.

    As I've already posted - it is fixed, just not in the version you're running. You'll either have to wait until it gets down to your tree or use a different one.

    got the error in messages,

    Dec 17 19:10:42 server1 stunnel[1790]: stunnel 4.04 on i686-pc-linux-gnu PTHREAD+LIBWRAP with OpenSSL 0.9.7a Feb 19 2003
    Dec 17 19:10:42 server1 stunnel[1790]: FD_SETSIZE=16384, file ulimit=1024 -> 500 clients allowed
    Dec 17 19:10:42 server1 stunnel[1790]: Error binding pop3s to 0.0.0.0:995
    Dec 17 19:10:42 server1 stunnel[1790]: bind: Address already in use
    Dec 17 19:10:42 server1 cpanel: startstunnel startup failed

    The reason is in file /etc/xinetd.d/pop3s it's set as desable = no it should be desable = yes

    make these changes and then restart xinetd and cpanel....
