    Hello All,

We are taking daily, weekly and monthly backups on our server through WHM's cpbackup.

Is it possible to skip the daily backup when we run weekly or monthly backup? Currently, daily as well as weekly backups run simultaneously which overloads the server. For example, if the weekly backup run time is 10 Apr 2008 then first daily backup runs and then it starts weekly backup on our server. So can we skip daily when we run weekly?

    Any suggestion?

    Thanks,

    John D.

What is your full cPanel version number?

What you describe is not how cpbackup is supposed to function, it is more serial than that. It should perform the daily backup, creating a backup for each user in turn, moving to the next user after current backup is complete.

After the daily backup, if you aren't using Incremental backups, the current backup files are rsynced to the weekly directory, and then the same for the monthly directory.
