Does anyone know what type of database WHM uses? I dont see anything in /var/lib/mysql. I am assuming some flat file database. Or does it just call diffrent files and parse them out?

    Thanks

    Go on, have a guess
A veritable myriad of flat files. Most of which are under:
    /var/cpanel/
    and the usual:
    /etc/

Do you think they would ever go to mysql database schema? Flat files would be hard to parse I think, also possibly alot slower.

I doubt it. Most of the database files are pretty simple and small. The only reason to switch to sql would be to conglomerate them all into one sql database instead of several text files. I don't see any reason to do that.
