Hi all,
I have a pc with 2 network cards. They are both static ips. My WHM is installed on *.*.*.100, and i added the other ip to the pool which is *.*.*.200 (this IP is not being used by anything else).

I created a site and assigned it to have a dedicated ip which is the *.*.*.200.

Now I cannot access the site, BUT if I disable the *.*.*.100 (shared) IP network card, I can access the site. (I have 2 WHM DNS only server running with ips .101 & .102)

Thanks in advance.
Robin

Hello Robin,

Normally, you should be able to add both public IPs to the eth0 device network card. Typically, the second network card would be for a private IP to use. Unfortunately, when we add additional IPs, we add them on the same network interface, and this is why it isn't working.

Thanks!

Hello,

If you did it manually, well it may make more troubles to you in future. A cPanel server is fully automated system and it is better to let cPanel manage all its features than doing it manually! You can select the default network interface from "WHM >> Basic server configuration" and then add the additional IPs from "WHM >> Add new IP" feature. This will setup it up and update the cPanel records accordingly.

Thank you.

I did setup the IPs using WHM. But when I assigned the dedicated IP to the site, the site wont come up unless I disabled the main (shared) interface.
