We have a few WHM servers and two DNS only servers that were recently changed over to use PowerDNS. When I make a change to DNS in WHM it does update the DNS Only servers. I confirmed this by looking at the zone file for a domain in /var/named. But when I query the DNS server the record returned is from prior to the update being made - meaning no change.

When changing an existing DNS Only server over to PowerDNS is there something additional that needs to be set in /etc/pdns/pdns.conf?

/var/log/messages does show the zones being reloaded.

Hello,

I'd be curious to find out why this was occurring. How long did you wait for the records to reflect as being updated? What exactly is output in messages when you update the DNS records? The full output, without the actual domain names or IP addresses of course.

Same issue here. Did you ever figure it out?
Tried to open a ticket but the ticket system keeps coming up with an error when trying to submit server information :(
