/whm dont work but :2086 does

Hello,

Cpanel / WHM version 11.30.

http://domainname.com/cpanel Dont work
http://domainname.com:2082 works

Same for WHM

http://hostname/whm dont work
http://hostname:2086 works

I am this problem and I checked my httpd.conf and it has following two lines already,

ScriptAliasMatch ^/?cpanel/?$ /usr/local/cpanel/cgi-sys/redirect.cgi
ScriptAliasMatch ^/?whm/?$ /usr/local/cpanel/cgi-sys/whmredirect.cgi

Any help?

Hello,
Please check whether these files are actually present on the server in the location /usr/local/cpanel/cgi-sys/
If the files are not present then I guess it will not work ..

Check whether hostname resolves to server IP address and also the domain names are resolving to correct IP addresses. The entries in the httpd file seems to be correct.

Once hostname points to correct IP address, it should work...................

When you say it doesn't work, what exactly do you mean? What actually happens when you visit the /whm URL?

Apart from this problem I had several other problems like,

- Secure Link in WHM / Cpanel was not working i.e. https://IP:2087 OR https://IP:2083
- Cpanel was not showing Icons
- License Activation notification message in WHM Top Nav bar though I activated License.

Finally I decided to Force UPgrade and It solved ALL Problems.. May be First time it was Not setup properly.

We had a previous case about unlicensed machines not properly installing cPanel if the machine wasn't licensed before doing the installation. The issues you are describing sound like it might have been due to that case, which should now be resolved in 11.30.0.30+
