Out of the blue, all sites on the server stopped working - all redirecting to the default "congratulations" page. Upon further investigation, WHM is emplty (no accounts listed) and when I try to create a new account (was told this would fix the error), I get:

httpd.conf is corrupt. Please have your admin repair or restore it from backup

Well.. what else can we do? Because we dont have a backup of conf at the moment.

Can we rebuild one with cpanel??

Please don't bring politics here at cpanel, maybe go to webhostingtalk and use your politics there it's just one big battle you would love it.

Cpanel's forum is still pure do not currupt is please. :(

that's right cpanel's forum is still pure full of leaches that expect their competition to do their work for them and people that contribute to that by doing their work for them.

I don't see how you see anything "pure" in people helping theirs & your competition for free when the people that they're "helping" shouldn't be running hosting companies to begin with.

When you help them you only help them rip off more customers that have no clue that their host has no idea what he's doing and could screw up and wipe out their server at any moment, by say, corrupting the httpd.conf file without having any backup...

you can give a man a fish and feed him for a day... and he'll walk off laughing "what a chump, I can't believe he actually gave me a fish" or tell him to catch his own damn fish and not waste your time.

However,

on the rackshack forum, there aren't quite as many jerks or idiots as there appears to be here, and the system there goes quite nicely. People post how-tos and other useful information, such as how succesful & stable an update is (very important info in cPanel land).

But even there, when someone asks a "do my work for me" question, everyone usually tells them to RTFM just like they should.

Hosting is a business, not a charity.

Excuss me. I'm not a leech expecting someone else to do my work. Our system administrator isn't in the office and I needed to quickly rebuild httpd and he told me right after I posted here.

How dare you come in and say I don't know anything. I didn't know how to rebuild apache's httpd.conf, whoopi do. Damn go suck a bone or something.
