Hi we have just installed WHM for an Athlon 64 server we have running fedora Core 2.

Everything appeared to go ok in the install until the end when we got the following error at the end of the install:

    -----------------------------------------

    cPanel Layer 2 Install Complete

    Updating addon type:scripts addon:AdvancedGuestBook version:latest...........Done

    [root@daintree cpins]# http://layer1.cpanel.net/verify/
-bash: http://layer1.cpanel.net/verify/: No such file or directory
    [root@daintree cpins]# /usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt
    panic: mapstart at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.2/x86_64-linux/IO/Interface.pm line 66, <CS> line 1.
    --------------------------

On loading WHM we get a Invalid License File error

Anyone have any ideas to what the cause is and or how we can fix this???

We got the same error on our dual opteron Fedora Core 2 (x86_64) server

    additional errors :

Starting proftpd: proftpd: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Error: Failed dependencies: libexpat.so.0 is needed by frontpage-5.2-0

    And one more :

Starting pop3 services: panic: mapstart at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.2/x86_64-linux/IO/Interface.pm line 66.

This is a current error and we are building a new version as we speak to get rid of the error. As soon as the build is done I will test it and notify everyone of the results.

    Thank you.

But proftpd is still not working :

Starting proftpd: proftpd: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Astound  because it's there :

    /lib/libssl.so.4
    /lib64/libssl.so.4

    solved

I replaced your proftpd by proftpd-1.2.9-8.1.fc2.fr.x86_64.rpm
and it is working now :)

    One problem still persists :

    error: Failed dependencies:
    libexpat.so.0 is needed by frontpage-5.2-0
    Retrieving http://layer1.cpanel.net/fp/frontpage-5.2-0.i386.rpm

and I found a strange message which I've never seen before :

    --------------------- pam_unix Begin ------------------------
    login:
    Invalid Users:
    Bad User: /sbin/service iptables restart: 1 Time(s)
