    Hello

In WHM > Account Functions > List Accounts

There is a column called 'Cpanel'

When I roll-over the image the link displayed is:

    http://clientusername:@clientdomain.com:2082

All the links are missing the client password.

Is this normal or is this a problem?

    Thankyou

    - Patrick

    That is normal.

You should be able to use your root password to logon to your customers cpanels. It would be nice if those links were secure ;)

    This is by design.

Apart from the fact that the account password isn't/can't be known by the WHM, passwords should not be passed along the URL string as it's insecure.

When you click on the link it will open a new window and prompt you for the password. When logging in (as root or a reseller) to an account all you need is the account username and the root/reseller password. The way the link is created the username will appear within the login box automatically.

When I click the link it does not put in the username into the login box. Both boxes are blank. The link is correct as I can see the username, it just doesn't put it into the box.

Hmm, it doesn't either :/ I thought that it did - oh well.

I did notice that it's calling the page via https (not sure if it always did that). It's a pain because very few of our customers have their own certificates on their domains. Either way it's no big deal as it's not a feature we're finding all that useful.

it doesnt put the username in there but at least on this machine all you need to do is leave the user blank and type in the root or reseller password and it will log you in.

When I click onthe link to the user control panel I get the following error:

    The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for might have been removed or had its name changed.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Please try the following:

Open the username:mad:userdomain.com:2082 home page, and then look for links to the information you want.

If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.

If you still cannot open the page, click the Internet Explorer
Search button to look for similar sites.
