I need to find a solution to do a full backup of my server. Server currently hosts about 100 sites and uses about 100g of space. We are in the process of moving from one dedicated environment to another and need a backup. Any thoughts or recommendations are appreciated.

    Hello :)

Have you considered using the transfer scripts provided by cPanel? For example, the following option would allow you to transfer all accounts from another server:

"WHM >> Transfers >> Copy multiple accounts/packages from another server"

    This is documented at:

Copy Multiple Accounts/Packages from Another Server

If you would prefer to just generate backup files, you should configure automatic backups using:

"WHM >> Backup >> Configure Backup"

Documentation for this can be found at:

    Configure Backups

Then, you can use the following command to manually start the backup process:

    # /scripts/cpbackup --force
This will generate backups for the accounts on the server (unless you configure a remote FTP backup), which can then be transferred to another server using SCP or SFTP.

    Thank you.
