I started running some of our email accounts through a 3rd party spam filtering provider (SpamExperts). I have noticed that some email notifications coming from WHM are getting caught in their filter, because apparently these notifications are violating an RFC for "Maximum line length". Here is the complete error:

SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data:
host mx.spamexperts.com [188.138.56.116]: 550 Maximum line length exceeded (see RFC 5322 2.1.1).

This is coming from the cpbackup notification. Anyone else ever see anything like this?

We've reported this bug to cPanel (case 59582) about several months ago. They indicated to be resolving it in the future. You may wish to ask them about the status, and can whitelist the sender address to skip the filtering for the sender. Alternatively you can disable the line length check specifically on the Filter Settings page in your Spampanel control system.

Thanks for the information, Dreas. I am new to SpamExperts, and didn't realize that I could override the maximum line length filter, and also that we can simply whitelist the sender, and it will automatically override this (and all over) filters.

Case 59582 is in reference to sending message via one of the webmail clients (e.g. Squirrel Mail). Could you give us some example message subjects so we know which sub systems to look at?

Not all notifications go through the same sub system, hence the request for examples.
