    I just took over the administration of a new (VPS) WHM server, logging in by SSH as root works just fine, I have superuser access, etc but WHM always says "invlaid login".
    I have disabled cphulk (it was disabled anyways).

    Code:
    /etc/redhat-release:CentOS release 6.8 (Final)
    /usr/local/cpanel/version:11.58.0.34
    /var/cpanel/envtype:kvm
    CPANEL=release
    Server version: Apache/2.2.31 (Unix)

    Hello,

    Could you let us know the output from /usr/local/cpanel/logs/login_log when authentication fails?

    Also, just in-case, make sure you are using ports 2087/2086 for WHM, and not 2082/2083.

    Thank you.
