    Hi everybody,

I wonder, if someone can give me note on how I can use the WHM scripts. My actual requirement is to create/modify/delete accounts and send welcome emails on creating an account etc.

    Thanks in advance.
    :)

Now that's weird. I had 3 friends of mine go to the page and they had no problems. I wonder if it has anything to do with the browser. What browser do you use?

Is anyone else having trouble getting this page?

I'm able to access it fine too, just a side note, openbasedir protection can sometimes be intermittent. Out of 1000 reloads, 1 may display that error.

Try reloading it again or trying from a different computer (to rule out caching as a problem)

Ok, I don't know how it happened, but I decided to go to that page myself and got that as well. I tried to remember where I saw open_basedir before and thought about the WHM security settings so I checked and it was on. I never turned it on. I turned it off and it works now.

Should be back to normal now.

I know what happened. My partner was doing some security work and he turned on the open_basedir in WHM.

I don't understand this part though:

Warning: Unknown(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/base/buspwsc/public_html/scripts/index.pws) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/celebkrn/:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp) in Unknown on line 0

Celebkrn is the username of a different website and the 2 sites have nothing to do with each other. Why is that in there?

That's probably just a bug with openbasedir, I've seen a lot of wierd things randomly occur with that.

    Squirrel-

Quick question for you. I am a PHP coder and it has been 2-3 years since I last coded in Perl. Is it possible to write PHP scripts and integrate them into the base WHM/cPanel code? How is that done (very high level) if you don't mind me asking. Is there a good source I can go to, to find out about user exits for custom scripting? Thanks.

I'm not sure. Perl is my language. I just recently started practicing PHP so I don't know if the 2 can work together or not.
