I think you meant APF. Yes, you'll have to manually open the port

First, /scripts/installzendopt installs zend on apache's php(user's section).
Cpanel uses two version of PHP, one to run your user's websites and second one to run php under CPANEL/WHM. It's the second PHP i'm talking about. Now, they have given us option to install ionCube & SourceGuardian under "WHM > Tweak Settings".. it doesn't looks like it works though.. atleast on our end..

Indeed, it is very expensive to do that as a coder.
Anyway, about how many people can install a decoder... I believe that only experienced people will buy this hack. thats just my opinion tho.

yes, i'm still trying to decide what to do about this... as even ioncube installation provided by CPanel isn't working either...

I might have to go with Zend in the end, if these encoders didnt work.. as zend is easier to install..
