Let me see if I can help you as I think the developer is "missing in action".
This add on does work for the x2 theme. You just need to make sure that you've added it to your default feature list. He is supposed to be fixing it for x3 support, but not sure how that's coming along.
There is no documentation. It's a pretty simple add on, but I had to search for the configuration files on my machine to find them.
They are located at "/etc/shoutcast/conf/'. You will also find that the password for the web admin has to be added manually. You can't do it through the WHM interface.
Concerning the content directory, I'm assuming for On-Demand content, I'm not sure about. I've never been able to get that to work. It's something that has to be edited in the users .conf file. Maybe you can get it working...
Also, I'm not sure what port 8000 points too. Sorry!
