I will say that the cPanel interface tends to be cached. However, we haven't supported PHP 5.1.x in a very long time so unless that is the version of PHP that was recently installed for some reason - this may not be a caching issue and may need to be analyzed by our techs.

If I remember correctly, cPanel reads the version from a file:

    /usr/local/apache/conf/php.version

for displaying in cPanel. I remember quite a while ago, I didn't have any version displaying and the file was blank. When I added the version, it displayed correctly in cPanel.

Perhaps the last update didn't update the file. I see there's a new file there also since I last nosed around there, php5.version

I would guess that would be if you are running both 4 & 5. Checked mine and they both correctly show 5.2.6 (only running php5).
