WHM wont create cPanel accounts

    Hi guys!

    I try to create an account and here is what it shows:

    Create a new Account
    Account Creation
    Adding User


    Account Creation Status: failed (Unable to add user flyboys)
    Unable to add user flyboys


    I have been working on this but cannot figure this out. Can someone please help? Tnx!

    Do you have SeLinux enabled on the server?

    Also, which version of cpanel - whm is installed?

    Found the problem in /etc/ptmp. The file was basically a lock file so we moved it to /etc/ptmp.bak and then reran the account addition again.

    We found this after trying to run adduser and that failing as well. :D
