Hi,

WHMSonic hasn't uninstalled from cPanel properly

I used

cd /root/; wget http://www.whmsonic.com/setupr/uninstall.sh; chmod +x uninstall.sh; ./uninstall.sh to uninstall WHMSonic and it has now been removed and doesn't show in the WebHost Manager plugins section but it is still showing under Software / Services in cPanel. I have deleted browsing history in Windows XP by removing cookies, temp files etc but it still shows. Why is it still there? Please tell me how to remove it...

Here is screenshot

Anyone?

Edit: I forgot to mention that when i click on WHMSonic link in cPanel i just get page not found 404 error.

The WHMSonic image/link shouldn't even be there though. :s

I uninstalled WHMSonic because im going to use CentovaCast instead...

Last night i just deleted x3 theme then went to Main >> cPanel and upgraded cPanel to latest version. Doing that removed the link

I was told this morning in email by whmsonic to run

/usr/local/cpanel/bin/unregister_cpanelplugin /usr/local/cpanel/bin/shoutcastadminpro.cpanelplugin; /usr/local/cpanel/bin/rebuild_sprites

So i did that too

I hope its ok now

Thanks

Did that... No Go...

Try running the following via SSH as root:

Code:
/usr/local/cpanel/bin/rebuild_sprites
Ok, Installed SimpleScripts for testing purposes, and am now removing it until further evaluation. Ran

/usr/local/cpanel/bin/unregister_plugin /usr/local/cpanel/bin/simplescripts.plugin

Then ran /usr/local/cpanel/bin/rebuild_sprites

The actual icon is gone, but a text link still exists. Clicking on it, gives a 404 not found page.

How the hell do I get rid of this text link in the users cPanel???

Thanks,
Peter

I had a similar problem and found out that restarting cpanel fixed the problem.
