    I am a newbee.

When I try to enter the website I have tried to set up (I have uploaded all files) a page comes up: INDEX OF/ and then it shows all the files I have just uploaded.

now I thought that the site, once uploaded, was meant to automaticly open at Index.htm.

What am I doing wrong and how can I fix it,

    do you have a index.htm file ??

if so did you name it "Index.htm" as in your example

it is case sensitive should be index.htm

Yes, linux and unix based servers are all case sensitive ...

    Index.htm is a different file than index.htm or INDEX.HTM

    (common mistake)

As a general rule, most sites standardize on all lowercase names
for all files and folders which keeps things consistent and
    easy to remember.
