Why is Spam Assassin not catching spam?
I have getting a lot of spam. I have Spam Assassin set to a level 8.
I got an email in which obviously sspam. Thunderbird had no problem identifying it as sapm yet Spam Assassin let it go through.
I noticed this in the header.
X-Spam-Score: -18
Doesn't this mean that Spam Assassin thinks it is very valid?
P.S. I have Spam Assassin through my hosting company DirectNic and I do not hink I have access tot he console and control seems to be very limited.

Maybe it is being flag as spam. Here is the whole header
X-Spam-Status: No, score=-1.9
X-Spam-Score: -18
X-Spam-Bar: -
X-Ham-Report: Spam detection software, running on the system "web128.dnchosting.com", has
identified this incoming email as possible spam. The original message
has been attached to this so you can view it (if it isn't spam) or label
similar future email. If you have any questions, see
