Why is there only one shared IP allowed?

I wonder why it isn't possible to share account on more than one IP. Currently you can only share accounts on the main server IP.
If customers have more than one account you could assign one ip per customer, let them share their IP for all their accounts and use this IP for Mail as well. Wouldn't e.g. CentOS 6 now allow Cpanel to realize that feature? Or are there still constraints in the basic architecture of cpanel/WHM?

Thanks for reading. Please post a link if there is already a featurerequest for that.

Hello :)

Currently, this is only possible through temporarily changing the main shared IP address or assigning a shared IP address to a reseller and creating accounts under that reseller. Please vote and add your input to the existing feature request for multiple shared IP addresses at:

Thank you.
