    hello,

I was testing a cron today but noticed it wasn't running at the time i was setting it to, so i logged into my server to make sure the time on my server was correct.

However i've noticed that WHM and shell display two different times:

    WHM: 15:53:02 EST
SHELL (clock command): 04:54:03 PM EST -0.209227 seconds

As you notice aboive, the time in WHM is 1 hour and 1 minute behind the time i got from shell... Is this normal, and if it isn't.. how can i fix it?

Thank you in adfance for your replies.

    Go on, have a guess
Check that your hardware clock and software clock are in sync:

    date
    hwclock

Check how to sync the clocks in man:

    man hwclock

Whenever you change the times like that you should restart the cron daemon as it's sensitive to large time changes:

    service crond restart
