I can access my website's cpanel with the login details safe and secure. But I don't know why I am unable to connect through Filezilla 3.7.1.1 to the server.

Response: 331 User freeclas OK. Password required
Command: PASS ********
Response: 530 Login authentication failed
Error: Critical error
Error: Could not connect to server

Hello :)

You should be able to access FTP with the same username/password that you use to access cPanel. Have you tried connecting to FTP with the IP address of the server instead of the domain name in-case the DNS has yet to propagate?

Thank you.

You get this error when either the username or the password is wrong (or both are wrong.

Check that you don't have extra space(s) in the password or username.

You may need to consult with your hosting provider to have them investigate this issue for you. It's possible there is an issue with FTP or your FTP password that your hosting provider will need to address.

Thank you.
