Why on earth doesn't cPanel confirm before you delete a database?

I was logged in to cPanel today and was in the MySQL Databases area and was scrolled down to where the "Delete" button for one of my databases was at the very top of my browser right under the URL area. I moved my mouse to go click in that area to type in a URL and accidentally clicked on that "Delete" button. And instead of cPanel confirming if I want to delete the database it went right ahead and deleted. Thank goodness I do nightly backups of my databases so I'm okay.

But seriously cPanel...not only should there be some sort of prompt for the user to confirm, but it should ask for a password too. I know there are others who don't backup their databases regularly and wouldn't be as fortunate as me. But this seems like a massive oversight.

A confirm screen would be a great improvement.

yeah, this is something that really suprised me the first time it happened. And its not in an isolated spot on the screen. Two other options with much less severe results are right beside it.

For any noobs thatve done the same thing as me, in Cpanel use your WHM, on the left menu scroll down and find 'backup' - choose 'restore backups' choose which backup to use (daily, weekly or monthly, which options you have depend on how often you had it set to auto backup, in my case I had to go back 6 days and 12.5 hours :( )

Now your server should be doing some work, prepare to get peppered with emails and cell text messages if you are setup for that sort of thing. Soon as its done Ile let you know how it finishes...

    K, after a lot of

    .........
    .........
    .........
    .........
    .........
    .........
    .........
    .........
    .........
    .........
    .........'s

it finally got through it all and all appears to be running as well as it was a week ago. Took a while but when its done you'll get the last words saying 'Account Restore Complete'

JPigford im gonna go co-sign your bug report. That was an hours waste of my time. Id equate it to making a gun with no safety feature.
