Why so many libmysqlclient.so versions?

    /usr/local/cpanel/lib/libmysqlclient.so.14
    /usr/lib/libmysqlclient.so.10.0.0
    /usr/lib/libmysqlclient.so.9
    /usr/lib/libmysqlclient.so.10
    /usr/lib/libmysqlclient.so
    /usr/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.so.10.0.0
    /usr/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.so.10
    /usr/lib/libmysqlclient.so.6
    /usr/lib/libmysqlclient.so.12
    /usr/lib/libmysqlclient.so.12.0.0

    Trying to figure out which client is being used..

    That one that's being used is usually the one that /usr/lib/libmysqlclient.so is pointing to.
