Hi,

I've managed to successfully transfer an account from one WHM server to another.

The problem is, that the files / directories permissions are not taken in consideration. If a file had a 777 permission in the old server, it will get a 644 permission in the new one. If a directory had a 777 permission in the old server, it will get a 755 in the new one.

And idea? it's kind'a frustrating, i need to manually compare and change the permissions and I have about 50 more accounts to move..

Thanks in advance,
Eli.

Hello,

I am not sure if cPanel transfers the permissions of any site when you transfer it from another server. 755 for folders and 644 for files are default permissions on a Linux server for any newly created files and folders.

I would suggest you to use rsync to copy the web folder. rsync has an option to copy permissions and ownership of files and folder.
