Is there any greater risk to setting up a wildcard (%) host for a mysql.

My clients websites need to access my mysql database site to get information and the only way I can get it to work it using %

Does this reduce security? AM I doing correctly?

This shouldn't be much of a problem if you specify the wildcard for specific database(s) and user(s). You can even restrict priveledges as desired for each of these users.

    Hi Sir,

How do you specify (what would the command be) wildcard for specific database only?

    Add host:
    %databasename???
