Wildcard SSL installation

Hi All,

As Subject, How do I install Wildcard SSL...

I have tried many times, still cant install it... Please HELP...

Wildcard SSL Domain...: *.abcd.com
WHM........................: https://whm.abcd.com:2087 <<< Wildcard SSL Installed

CPanel......................: cpanel.abcd.com << My Problem is I don't know how to install on this..

Please HELP, Thanks...

Hello

You can install a wildcard SSL certificate the same way you would install a normal SSL certificate:

"WHM Home » SSL/TLS » Install an SSL Certificate on a Domain"

Is this method not working, or are you intending to install a wildcard SSL certificate for a service such as cPanel/WHM instead of a typical domain name on Apache?

Thank you for prompt reply,

The problem are account domain cpanel.abcd.com and SSL is *.abcd.com

Error Msg:
SSL install aborted due to error: The specified domain is not configured on the system. If you are intending to install a shared certificate you must use the username "nobody" for security and bandwidth reporting reasons.

Because of the domain name *.abcd.com <<< * not cpanel

You should ensure that you install SSL certificates for services such as cPanel/WHM via:

"WHM Home » Service Configuration » Manage Service SSL Certificates"

Sorry Sir,

I tried many times again at "WHM Home » SSL/TLS » Install an SSL Certificate on a Domain"...

If I just paste Certificate (issued by Geotrust) on CRT field, the system will generate key for other fields, then I change the domain name from *.abcd.com to cpanel.abcd.com, user name, and ip...

The message "SSL install aborted due to error: Modulus mismatch, key file does not match certificate. Please use the correct key file" after I submitted..


Sorry, I really don't know how to do...

Can you please teach me step by step?? like first step go where? step to generate CSR, what step go Geotrust to reissue the cert??

As far as instructions for GeoTrust, did you purchase the certificate directly from them? If so, please consult with their documentation on how to have a certificate reissued.
