Iam trying to install a redirection script which requires wildcarded domains .
I added an A record for * pointing to my shared IP address .But when i type
in something like test.mydomain.com its redirecting to the default nonconfigured
message webpage of shared IPadress instead of going to the root of my domain.
I am really puzzled on how to overcome this and looking for guidance .Thank you.

I am using Cpanel/WHM and has created the A Record for *.mydomain.com. pointing to my shared IP from WHM Edit DNSZone option ... But its not redirecting to my domain root ,but to shared IP's main non-configured website CPanel message page ,when i type in something like test.mydomain.com .Please advise .thanks
