WordPress Toolkit Deluxe Pricing, really?

While the Marketplace will show what licenses you have, it won't show where they came from. You can use your server's main IP address to check the license status here:

cPanel & WHM License Verification | cPanel, L.L.C.

Verify license. Our license verification tool will display the cPanel & WHM license history for a server and whether or not it's valid.

and that will show where the license was purchased.

If the license wasn't purchased directly from cPanel, you'd need to contact the license holder to see about the WordPress Toolkit issue, as that can be disabled at the license level.

Is there a way to install WPT deluxe via the command line?

The command line installs the WPToolkit but not deluxe it seems?

There isn't a separate command to install Deluxe, as that is dependent on the license on the system.

Got it! Had to edit the features and enable the toolkit and deluxe.

Now, when I login to a client cPanel, I don't see a way to clone, etc. like I do from the WHM WPTD panel?

Also, when I try to enable WPTD from the feature manage, it saves but never shows enabled

Figured something out.. If I create a new feature set (called it test), I can select the WPToolkit deluxe. On the default set, I cannot.

Is this a bug?

I'm not able to reproduce that on my side as I can choose the "Deluxe" option in the "default" feature list with no issue on my end.

We started playing with the WPToolkit Deluxe now that it's part of the licensing. Thanks for that. From our usage, there are still some outstanding bugs (just submitted a ticket 94371647).

Being a long-time user of ManageWP, the differences are becoming clear.

The cPanel WP Toolkit is really designed for the hosted clients convenience/usage and not something you would compare to ManageWP - which is built for more of an agency manage approach - managing from the 10k foot level vs the hosted account level.

Am I on track with my observation?

Anytime. If cPanel wants to attract more agencies for self-managed hosting, you might want to study the competitors in this area and see if that's even a market you want to approach. I understand the toolkit is pretty much a port from the Plesk acquisition and Plesk did target the hosted account vs agencies/resellers wanting to manage client WP installations. The players in this space are growing quarterly so something to consider with this product and where you want to position it.

Right now it's a great management feature for people who just want hosting and do a bit of dabbling with WP but for agencies with 100's of clients, WP toolkit has a lot to be desired in this area.

Quick question, is there a way to have the snapshot feature use our WASABI account to store snapshots?

I know that cpnael can store backups on Amazon compatible services.

We currently use JetBackup 5 for nighty's but its not a good solution for creating WP snapshots to get customers out of a jam once they've uploaded something and broke their site. Your stuck with restoring from a nightly with JB5

Hello! There wouldn't be a cPanel-side method of automatically transporting WP Toolkit snapshots. However, it might be possible to work with a developer and develop a cronjob that sends the backups to a remote location.

Are those snapshots stored in the sites www directory? If so, can you set a limit on the number of stored snapshots this way they can't keep years of them LOL.

Then are there still still versions of WTK? If so, why? I see that your page says it's now included in the cPanel license, but no mention of which version, and the docs it links to still shows a two version comparison?

There is no longer a comparison between the two versions, as "Deluxe" essentially no longer exists since it's available for free.
