I'd just like to add some good news here if I could. The improvements in many areas, like password strength, video tuts, fancy new file manger (when it works out), and being able to zip up files as well as unzip, being able to move the less used icons off the top of page, better explainations for mail setup (although Outlook part should be removed, will never work with the registry entries it creates) getting started wizard is very friendly for new users, backup wizard and webdisk... Just to name a few of the improvements, are all great stuff. :)

Complaints about too many icons and heavy pages and some of the fancy stuff for some I can understand, but not one of my customers has had a single complaint. I did not mention upgrades, just did it. As they find out one by one they've been mailing me to say how impressive the new panel is.

I've been grabbing the cPanel upgrades (manually, so I am sure I have time set aside in case of issues) as they come out, and also been keeping a close watch on configserver.com for other major parts of our setup that may need upgrades/fixes along the way as well.

So far, no problems worth reporting. Sorry to hear some are having probs, but not here. Not so far.

You guys make us look good. Thanks to all involved!

Upgraded all 32 of our servers with no real problems.

My only complaint about cpanel11 is that it encourages the use of the catch-all mailbox which I think is a very bad idea.
Wrong! At last you can actually turn off the default mailbox - this is one of the best features.

15062 is the latest build for EDGE, CURRENT and RELEASE. To upgrade to 15062, simply go to WHM -> cPanel -> Upgrade to latest version and follow the on-screen instructions.

There is no way to upgrade to any version of cPanel/WHM other than the most recent build. For example, you cannot upgrade to 15060, as that build is no longer available (replaced with the newer 15062).

thanks for kind reply, it asks me
"With your current Update Settings, you will be upgrading to the latest CURRENT build. "
should i need to change any other settings before doing so.

many thanks,

The settings link that it links to merely allows you to change your update settings. This is in case you wanted to change automatic upgrades to manual or switch which build of cPanel/WHM you are using.

You can proceed with the upgrade successfully without changing any of those settings. I am saying this based off the information you have already provided on the forum. If you were moving from say version 10 to 11, there's be more involved - but you're just moving from one build of 11 to another. It takes a few minutes but generally is a smooth transition (I've done it myself quite a few times on a test server).

On one of the servers I upgraded the shell window froze and never came back - the entire updgrade took like 30 minutes - you should be able to track progress by watching the "top c" command in shell

I would let it run till top shows you that the upgrade process is finished
