I hope this helps others still facing the same AutoSSL issue this week (even on v100.0.5). It fixed the whole thing for me in under 1 minute: The Let's Encrypt Plugin | cPanel & WHM Documentation

1) In SSH with root, run: /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/install_lets_encrypt_autossl_provider
2) In WHM > Manage AutoSSL, select LET'S ENCRYPT instead of cPanel (Sectigo).
3) Run AutoSSL on the expired domain (or on all your users if you have many that are expired).

It literally took 30 seconds and the whole issue was solved for me. Everything works perfectly fine in HTTPS now.

Worked for me :)
With a very old installation (v86.0.40 on Centos 6)!
