www not open the site

    Hi all..

    I have some domains .com .eg & .edu.eg ......
    I found that when I type http://domainname.com.eg site open
    and whenn i type http://www.domainname.com.eg almost sites don't open.

    When i use nslookup and ask my dns server about this domains i found that the sites witch opened when i type www have this reply

    Name: domainname.edu.eg
    Address: 192.168.0.0
    Aliases: www.domainname.edu.eg

    And domaines witch not open when i type www have this reply :

    Name: domainname.edu.eg
    Address: 192.168.0.0

    So what is the problem and how van i solve it

    nslookup shows normal things, www is an alias for that domain defined at the apache config. that's why it doesn't appear when nslookup shows information about "yourdomain.com".

    Did you check for the www A record at the DNS zone in the affected domains ? Did you migrate all those domains recently ? If you do, remember the cache times takes hours and you may not see your site using www but can using just the domain.

    DNS record for inficted domains is correct

    I am sure that the DNS record for inficted domains is correct there is www record in it and ttl is so small
    And when i compare one of infected domains with a correct domain i didn't find any different.
