I am new to the administration side of cPanel/WHM but have been using it as a user for quite some time now. Recently, I got a dedicated box and the host installed cPanel/WHM on it. I then transferred my site over using the "Full Backup" option. The site restore went just fine but I'm having a minor problem that I can't solve.

If I try to go to:

    http://www.domain.com/directory

    it's re-written to:

    http://domain.com/directory

Under normal circumstances this wouldn't be an issue but we run a Windows domain system here at the office and we count on domain.com to be our Windows DC and www.domain.com to be our website.

Note that if I go directly to a page (i.e. http://www.domain.com/page.php), the www is kept intact.

Any suggestions? We did not have this problem before so I assume it's just a setting that needs to be changed.

    Thanks!

I figured this out. Add "UseCanonicalName off" to the Apache directives under the relevant VirtualHost.
