I noticed in the Change Log for 11.49.9999.142 a reference like this:
    • Fixed case 189893: Update cpanel-wwwcount to 2.5-5.cp1136.
Now that is a blast from the past...wwwcount?! :)

Is this really installed and usable on all cPanel installations? I can find no docs on how to use this version. Anybody have any ideas or example code? I've used it in the past but never on a cPanel server.

    Hello :)

The RPM you have referenced is included for the operation of the "Counter" application found in "cPanel >> CGI Center".

    Thank you.

Is "CGI Center" no longer available in paper_lantern? I have it on in feature manager but I don't see it in end-user cPanels. I'm probably forgetting something simple...

Paper Lantern does not include the "CGI Center" by design. You will need to use X3 if you want access to it.

    Thank you.

Looks like they are going to be phased out then. Not such a big deal. Sometimes customers like these old scripts, but I'd rather not get people using them if cPanel is not going to be supporting them down the road. Do you think that is the plan?

There are currently no plans to integrate the "CGI Center" with the Paper Lantern theme going forward.

    Thank you.

I am only keeping this discussion going out of curiosity.

So, I understand what you are saying. But not everyone requires an icon to make something work. Is the underlying software support going to be phased out as well when x3 is retired? Thanks.

    Hello :)

Yes, you can expect the removal of those features once X3 is removed from the product.

    Thank you.
