today I tried to translate WHM x to traditional chinese . I only changed charset to big5 and those img links to xbig5 .

I also named the new whmtheme to xbig5.whmtheme but after I changed WHM theme to this new one ,almost all features in the left column of WHM disappeareed . I didn't even translate the text yet.

is there anything I forgot to do before I translated the x theme ?

please help
thanks

Have you successfully translated a WHM theme before? Was the entire left frame (command) gone when you did the translation? Perhaps the ACL's are causing a problem with the new charset?

hi Bert

I tried to translate the first section before (Server Setup) but the same thing. You can view my attached picture. Only some of them disappeared .. no matter how much I translated .

if it's caused by ACL , is it possible to solve it ? the charset for traditional chinese is big5

thanks a lot

Have you translated other skins before? I think you can't do much because of the ACLs, but I am not sure.

If Nick is around, he'll be able to tell us.

I've been working on this for several days.

I saw someone offering chinese skin so I think it's doable.
I just don't understand why those function disappeared

no, Bert. Blue has the same error.
once I removed the Chinese characters, the WHM works normally.
do you know what might be the problem ?

thanks

The problem is definetely then the ACLs, I guess we'll have to wait for Nick on that one.

Access Control Lists. They allow WHM to display information based on user permissions, this is what allows WHM to show more options for root and less options for reseller accounts.

I am not 100% sure that the ACL's are the ones causing the problem, but I just know for sure that WHM and cPanel both operate under a different web server environment. You'll have to ask Nick or email support to get more help concerning this.

I don't think you can modify those files at all. They're compiled I think.

I don't deal with that. You'll have to ask cPanel ;)

LOL. Who makes you believe that they'll listen to me?

Send a support request asking if that's something that will eventually be done, but to be quite honest, I doubt it very much. Since WHM Is part of the admin interface, I don't think they'll ever create templates for it. Furthermore, changing those pages from compiled code to real HTML is not going to be easy in any way.
