X3 in EDGE is very old and very far from complete. Please save your comments until it reaches one of the production builds as you'll find that everything you have commented on above has long since been addressed, and will be apparent when X3 has its official release next year.

I agree. EDGE is called "EDGE" for that reason. Its in testing only. Not everything is expected to work properly. I do like the idea of X3 it was just a bummer that it didnt work. I look forward to the official release.

I also understand the other persons concerns, and business is based on requests from customers and technology. Many things are bound to happen... good and bad..

Cpanel Theme X3

hey can any one show me from where i can download the X3 theme ?

i use:

WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.9.0-R118
CentOS 4.4 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

and if i need Edg 11 thing how can i get that i looked all over cpanel.net to download it nothing ...

You cant have x3 on your current build, to change to EDGE you need to edit the 'Update Config' settings in WHM, but ONLY do that if you know what your doing, EDGE isnt recommended in a production environment

V.impressed with the new x3 theme.

Only thing is that the "Branding" and "Update contact info" icons in the preferences group can't be disabled via feature manager in WHM. I've had to manually remove them from the dynamicui.conf file. Is there any chance we could turn this off in feature manager?

Also, how do we add our own icons (eg. fantastico, configserver's mailscanner, etc)? The method we used previously (editing the /cells directory) doesn't work anymore.

Just got an update to my feature request - THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for moving the phpMyAdmin link to 'top level' in x3!

That should stop users from constantly asking how to get to phpMyAdmin :D (when it's available...)

Edge 70 has the following issues we have found so far.

Boxtrapper looping causing huge log files, this morning on 2 uesers we deleted over 70 gig of log files from boxtrapper.

File manager when uploading files they all go into home folder no matter where you upload from.

Forwarders and filters, keep getting deleting when adding new ones.

Sub domain stats no longer work, they show main domain stats instead.


A few things that need to be addressed.

I believe we have all covered with tickets or bug reports.

Joey, we can confirm all those problems. Also a new one when a user removes an addon domain he/she gets the aok from cpanel but logs back into the control panel and it still listed in the dropdown menu under remove.

X and X2 are still in EDGE, however to gain full functionality of the EDGE build it is recommended you use the X3 theme.
