I have been very unhappy with the fact that Cpanel will no longer update the bluelagoon then as I have used that for my clients for a long time. Well, since that seems to be the case, I have created the following hybrid them. I call it xLagoon:

    http://tlcwe.com/xlagoon.jpg

It has urchin support for subdomains that x does not have. It has PostgreSQL support that bluelagoon does not have.

I am willing to turn this theme over the Cpanel with know strings attached, if they are willing to maintain it and keep it up to date with the Cpanel changes.

    Thank you.

It still needs a little work. It is fully functional, but I want to clean it up a bit. It does not currently support "branding" and I need to fix that.

I thought you were going to ask for money or for free licenses :D

I find this a very fair deal. Specially since development of current xskins is very slow.

Re: Re: xLagoon and offer to Cpanel

No way I would have asked for money. I simply merged two existing skins to acheive a third.

I can't figure out how to make the branding work. I have looked that the example in blue lagoon, but it doesn't make sense to me.

Does anybody know what the tag is to print the account OWNERS username, i.e. root or the username of the reseller that added the account?

Mmm, I would have really thought, with the number of people that seemed to be looking for bluelagoon alternatives, that there would have been more response here. Not that I am looking for praise, but cpanel is unlikely to take on a skin to update unless the users want it.

Well, anyway, I did finish the skin. There is no branding support simply because I can't figure out how to make it work. I am sure it is somthing simple, but I don't get it. Here is the finished screen shot.

I may post it for download in the near future. When and if I do, I will post the info here.

    Very nice.

    Is it language aware?

I would suggest maybe putting some images, just like vertex did next to each category. Customers like pretty images even thought they dont improve in anyway the control panel ;) There is too many text and new users may get scared.

It is no more language aware than bluelagoon or x.

I don't want the images. I had them there originally, and the clients I tried it on suggested that they be removed. Since I did not develop this for monetary gain, but as an alternative for my clients due to the fact that bluelagoon is no longer updated, I doubt that I will add the imagas back in.

    Thank you for the comments

    Hi Marty,

Download the xlagoon_1.0.0.cptheme.tar and upload through WHM.

    But the process failed.

Anyone have same experience with me ?

You can try using two methodes :
    1. tar xlagoon_1.0.0.cptheme.tar, and upload xlagoon_1.0.0.cptheme from WHM, please don't upload xlagoon_1.0.0.cptheme.tar directly using WHM because

    2. Login into SSh and wget http://cptheme.tlcwe.com/xlagoon_1.0.0.tar.gz
Then tar -xvzf xlagoon_1.0.0.tar.gz and move xlagoon/
    into

    /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/

Then update one of your account using this theme ....Cool ..

    Selamat mencoba

Why? That is a direct WHM download of the theme and works perfectly fine for upload directly in WHM. Just click on Install a New cPanel Theme and choose that xlagoon_1.0.0.cptheme.tar from your harddrive and click upload. It will upload and install it. I have done it on two servers already. On was running cpanel S117 and the other was running cpanel R158 when I did them.

It is obviously not the tarball. I and one other person have uploaded it via whm with no problems. Try downloading the tarball again.

Works fine for me. Cool! Good work Marty.

Any way to add graphics to them? Also.. I noticed when I add the fantastico link, it auto adds the icon on the top right. It looks ok to me, but out of place. I guess thats what we get for using a Xskin that auto adds it :)

    What do yall think?

    tAz,

I don't have a server with fantastico to test on, so I wasn't sure where it would show up. If you could log in to a cpanel with this skin and fantastico installed and do a view source and send me the source code, I could compare it to what I have in that page and probably make it show up in a better place.

If you are willing, pm me and I will give you an email address to send it to.

I found out how to fix it.

Just go to xlagoon/index.html --- Remove the fantastico include on the bottom of this file.

Then go to xlagoon/tables/cgi.html and add Fantastico wherever you wish in the list:

    <cpanelfeature fantastico>
    <tr><td><a href="fantastico/index.php">Fantastico</a></td></tr>
    </cpanelfeature>

oh yes, make sure Fantastico is symlinked to x2/fantastico.. i.e.

    ln -s /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/x2/fantastico fantastico

while you are in the xlagoon directory.

    Brenden :)
