99.9% of the time you can offer info to the client inside of the cPanel environment. For instance, I developed a skin for our reseller servers and we have our support section including a knowledge base inside the cPanel theme. I guess this phpinfo stuff just screws things up. ;)

In case Bert can't answer you quickly, you could copy the image from:

/usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/default/htaccess/images/noindex.gif

Hi, i`ve always used the default cpanel theme (i hate it). I like the XSkin (nice simple minimal layout).... but i`ve got a stupid question... with the default skin i never have to update it or do anything because it automatically does it.

But when i install the XSkin theme, i have to update it manually right? How often do i have to update it on my dedicated server and how do i do that again. I`m sure it`s very easy, just not sure how :(

Thanks

Thanks moronhead, however the image is there if you have version 1.4.

Unfortunately, Nick and team have not updated our skin in weeks or maybe more than one month. We send them the files, but they simply do not update it, therefore if you want to have the latest version, I would recommend that you download it and install it manually.

As part of your great theme, we have included the addition of Squirrelmail in our Xskin theme as well as quite a few other modification to CGI Center, PHP/BBS with the inclusion of Cpanel documentation, check it http://demo:[email protected]:2082/frontend/Xskin/webmaillogin.html

Bert,

Any chance that you will include the Addon Cgi scripts within your skin?

ozzi - you can get the files to use (modified to work) from me at
http://server10.virtual-hosting.ca/stdheader.html
http://server10.virtual-hosting.ca/stdfooter.html

In the phpinfo.php add (remove extra space between & & ? )
& ?php
include (&stdheader.html&);
? &
& ?php phpinfo(); ?&
& ?php
include (&stdfooter.html&);
? &

You also need to copy the cpanelX directory from the Xskin theme as well to the location.

I could not get this working even when copying cpanelX to htdocs. Something has to be edited in stdheader and foot as well. It just cant find cpanelX directory from stdheader and footer.

make sure any reference to &cpanel printvar=&dprefix&& is removed from the std files.

and that the std files and cpanelX are in the same directory.

It should work fine.

Hey guys, you missed my earlier post? The Xskins were updated a while ago (about 3 weeks I think) and the new version (v1.5) has the addon scripts.

Hi Bert,

Is there anywhere we can suggest some enhancements to your Xskin product? It is very good, and a few little adjustments would make it even better!

Nothing major, just a few things to make it [b:14a1198ab7]look[/b:14a1198ab7] better and more clearly laid out, etc..

Thanks!

Hello :)

I was just about to start looking into how to add squirrel mail to my cpanel xskin theme.

I am very new to cpanel (only having used plesk in the past) and much of it is still a mystery to me :p

I was wondering if you could tell me, ozzi4648, was it very difficult to do?

Thanx!

I'm using XSkin 1.5.. and in Addon Scripts, there's a mentioning of burst.net, which might be a problem for resellers since it refers to another web hosting company.

Ex:

(You must install in a top level directory. Example: 'http://domain.com/InvisionBoard' is a valid place to install, but 'http://cpaneltest.burst.net/user/andy/InvisionBoard' is not.

'http://cpaneltest.burst.net/user/andy/InvisionBoard' is being fed into Xskin from the cpanel backend, which means that it appears in any skin including the default and iconic ones.

This can only be fixed by the cpanel staff. I am looking forward to them fixing this as soon as possible.
