I've been reading for a few hours now and haven't found a situation that matched mine, so apologies if I mised an existing thread.

Just started trying to use mailman, and it would fail on list creation. After much searching here, I found that my mm_cfg.py was missing and I tracked one down to replace it with.

This got be a little further down the road and now I get this at list creation:
and this, when I try to send an email to the list:
I also read that I should make sure the valiases are going to mailmain/mail/mailman instead of wrapper. They are indeed being written correctly in the file, although they are printed incorrectly on the "success" screen.

So my current problem is that it can't find a config.pck. I searched on this and found a vague reference to that file would be created the first time you hit the web interface. I have hit every page on the web interface and it has still not been created.

So to recap, when I try to add a new list I get the above successes and errors. I can then go to the web page and click around fine but can't get an email through.

    Any help from ye gurus??

Forgot to mention several things I have tried
    1. Renamed mailman folder inside of 3rdparty and ran /scripts/upcp
    2. Ran /scripts/upcp 4 more times for the fun of it
    3. Ran /scripts/mailman212 and /usr/local/cpanel/bin/convertmailman2
    4. Ran some script that checks all the permissions, although I can't remember the path to it right now, but if fixed a bunch of em.
      [/list=1]

      Anything I haven't tried yet?

    go to the folder

    /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/lists/test4_domain.com/

and see if you have lot of html files there. If so, I think this list is of old format. The new lists have juz three files there and one among them is the config.pck.

If the domain was moved from another server which had an older version of mailman, then this error may occur. Not sure tho. And, I still haven't figured out how to convert this to new format :(

I tried almost all the scripts there and also whatever possible through backend by me - nothing worked :-(
