    Hi,

I searched for similar cases, however, either the suggestions are not working for me or the threads aren't resolved.

All VPS on a openvz node have the same problem. All account in them show unlimited quota and 0 or very low (MB) disk usage.

This problem started after a node upgrade (kernel involved) and restart.

    I have restarted every container.

The one thing I haven't tried yet is to just restart the node.

Here are some outputs within a container:
    Code:
    # /scripts/fixquotas
    Installing Default Quota Databases.../var/cpanel/sysinfo.config updated.
    ...Done
journaled quota support: not available with vzaquota (disabled)
Warning virtual file systems are mounted. Quotas may be counted as double
for users who are currently logged in. Please have jailshell users logout
before running quotacheck in the future!

All jailed users will be logged out in 60 seconds!

Hi cPanelMichael, unfortunately not. I'm not having the errors on the thread as you can see on my outputs. Also, quotas (1st and 2nd) are enabled.

    Thanks

You could try this if all other solutions have failed. I'm not seeing any cPanel related error messages in the output you provided, so it looks more like an issue with the VPS hardware node itself.

    Thank you.

    I'm getting new leads:

These errors are coming on cron jobs:
    Code:
    Cannot guess /dev/root at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Filesys/Root.pm line 24.
Also, I rebooted the node and nothing, however tried the fixquota script again and got this:
    Code:
    Installing Default Quota Databases......Done

journaled quota support: not available with vzaquota (disabled)

Warning virtual file systems are mounted. Quotas may be counted as double for users who are currently logged in. Please have jailshell users logout before running quotacheck in the future! All jailed users will be logged out in 60 seconds! jailshell: no process killed

Well, this is an openvz node and, within a container, there's no /dev/root by default.

    Thanks

You may need to consult with a qualified system administrator or with the OpenVZ support channels if quotas continue to fail, as quotas are handled by the OS as opposed to the cPanel software.

    Thank you.

Well, this is the latest steps I've taken. No errors now and still cPanel not reading quotas...

    Code:
    rm -f /aquota.user 2>/dev/null
    rm -f /aquota.group 2>/dev/null
    for x in `find /proc/vz/vzaquota/ | tail -2 `; do ln -s $x / ; done

    Then...
    Code:
    quotacheck -vagum

    And finally...
    Code:
    # /scripts/fixquotas
    Installing Default Quota Databases......Done
journaled quota support: not available with vzaquota (disabled)
Warning virtual file systems are mounted. Quotas may be counted as double

Well, finally went back to an old openvz kernel and everything is working.

I am happy to see you were able to determine the cause of the problem. Note the the OpenVZ bug report for this issue is available at:

    [OVZ-6655] vzquota problems in containers - bugs.openvz.org

    Thank you.
