from my experience, it means that you havent selected a package to put the account on.

Instruct resellers to create their packages prior to creating accounts.

Some of my resellers got a plan where the only limit is the total space they can use as they as design agencies, having very different needs per customer.

How can they specify the account settings without having to select a package ?

    Thanks,

    Maxime

i am also having the same problem.

resellers should be able to create custom plans and not have to be based off a package.

Here is the esponce from cpanel support on this issue.

"I just heard back from the developers about this and they confirmed that resellers needed to create a package even for uniquely set up accounts. I will go ahead and submit the change requested as a feature request."

That's great, but resellers used to be able to create undefined-package accounts. When did that stop working, and why?

A reseller is suppossed to have packages defined. It was created this way to be more efficient. Defining an account for a single client (custom), would make things very unorganized as you gain more and more clients. Just create packages and stick with them.

The way I do it is to create a custom package for a particular customer and assign it to them. It means more packages, but you can maintain individual customers needs easily. It is a bit more work, but if they have a need, then it means more happy customers for me also! I currently have 5 "custom" paskages in addition to my regular packages.
